PHD Blog 76 - Change of schedule
Blog to go bi-weekly
A change of pace?
Summer in Missouri is hot and there is no getting around that fact. There is some training I would like to do with Sir, but most days it is too hot and humid outside and I have too much to do inside to make much headway. That being said...
Positive Herding 201 is coming together slowly and should be published by the end of this summer! One project done, one almost done, and many on the horizon.
People often give me ideas for projects that would make positive herding clearer, more accessible, or have broader appeal. Most of their suggestions are good ones. Unfortunately, most don't make sense economically. The cost in time and money far outweighs the benefit that would accrue to people or their dogs.
My #1 criteria for taking on a new project is believing that the project is worthwhile. It has to generate enough motivation to carry me through to completion. Will this project help people foster a great relationship, build skills, stay safe, and have fun with their dogs?
I have found my next project!
To make room for a new project, I am cutting back on some of my ongoing commitments. At this point, those cutbacks will be primarily in two areas; moderation of my Facebook group and changing to a bi-weekly, twice a month, blog.
If you hear from me a bit less in the future, it is because I am heading in a slightly different direction, but herding remains my passion! My goal is to continue to share positive dog training ideas so that all herding dogs can thrive. I will keep you informed along the way.
Thank you for your continuing support! I am excited to flank off in a slightly different direction and see what is over the horizon.
If you found this blog interesting, please tell your friends and spread the herd!
