Slicing flanks - Let's cut to the chase
We all dream of seeing our dogs effortlessly working stock.
Can you imagine your dog flanking from your feet, going out around livestock, and bringing them directly to you? Maybe you don't know where to start with your dog, but I bet you know where you want to end up. If you have big dreams for yourself and your dog, I am here to help you achieve those dreams.
Before you can win at anything, you need to understand the game. In herding, flanks are an integral part of the game. You will train flanks using cones and toys, but once you get working stock, your dog's flanks can change. Usually, unwanted change is linked to your dog's inexperience so you need to know how their flanks can change and be on alert to notice the change in its beginning stage.
So, what are sliced flanks? I'm glad you asked.
